The Egyptians

This half term we have been learning all about the Egyptians.

We have learnt lots about Ancient Egypt and the Egyptian way of life.

We learnt the steps of mummification, how to make an Egyptian death mask and in groups we also made pyramids!

The Egyptians Museum Trip

To start our topic on Ancient Egypt, all of Year 3 visited the Derby Museum. We had a great day out where we actually got to see some real mummies and we learnt what the steps to mummification were.

Little Frankie's Gold Treat!

12 members of 3C went with Miss Cowburn and Miss Goodale to Little Frankie's for their Gold behaviour treat.

They had a great time making and then eating their pizzas.

Well done to everyone who was Gold!

Waterstones Trip

4 members of 3C had the chance to go to Waterstones with Miss Cowburn and Miss Robinson after they had won book vouchers during 'Let's Get Reading Week.'

They were treated like VIPs with drinks on arrival and after a short talk on how the books are organised, they were able to look around and buy their favourite book.

This half term we have been learning all about The Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age in History.

In Science, we have been learning all about Plants.

After half term we will be moving onto Natural Disasters in Geography and Experiments in Science.

Don't Forget...

3C need to bring their P.E. kit every Monday and Tuesday.

If you forget it, you may not get Gold.

French Day

This half term we really enjoyed French Day and getting to eat at the café.
