Welcome to Nursery at St James' CE Infant School!
Mr Devanny is the Nursery Class Teacher and Mrs Ryan is the Nursery Class Teaching Assistant.
Our Topic for this half term is 'At The Beach'.
We would like to say a big welcome to our new children, starting with us this term.
This term we will be splitting 'At The Beach' into 2 parts. Firstly, we will be learning about under the sea and looking at different animals that live under the sea. The we will be learning about the Beach and the seaside towards the end of the term.
Parent Reminder regarding P.E.: your children will be taking part in regular P.E. lesson and to encourage independency we will be encouraging the children to take their own shoes and socks off so please send your children in wearing sensible footwear and socks. (Morning session is Monday morning, Afternoon session is Thursday afternoon)
You can find lots of information about what we will be doing in our curriculum newsletter. You will also be able to follow all the fun we have in our photo gallery.
Please see the photos below to see all the fun we have learning in Nursery.
On Friday 10th October the Morning children had a little party to celerbrate Eid. Thank you once again for those parents who gave their time up to come in and talk about Eid. I know the children enjoyed it and I certainly learnt something new about Eid!
Every Friday the Nursery opens its doors 10 minutes early (11:20 & 3:00) for the parents to come in and help choose a book for the children to take home and read together.
